Andrea Bassi
has been practicing martial arts for 16 years. He studied Kung Fu since
1993 with Alfredo Santini (Instructor of the CONI Centres and National Technical
Manager of the "2°" Fe.S.The.Ka. ).
Andrea has reached the rank of 2° Chieh of Shaolin and Tai Who Chuan.
Alice Gaini
began studying ballet when she was five. At age 12, she began studying synchronized
swimming and joined the 'Empoli Nuoto' team. She took part in several national
competitions, both in solo and team choreography.
As a couple dancing Argentine Tango, A&A have found a way to merge their previous experiences with different personalities, resulting in an elegant, harmonious, and lively dance.
They have performed in numerous shows and events, including ‘MAIPO Tango’ at San Babila Theater Milan, Piazza Anfiteatro Lucca, 'Tango Luz' at San Remo Casino', ‘Tango Sensual’ at Pantheos Theatre in Rome, ‘Casting Tango’ at Greco Theater Rome , ‘EsSensual TANGO’ , the 'Sgrilli al Buio’ show by Sergio Sgrilli at CRT Theater in Milan. 'Sogno at S. Domenico Crema Theater, Show ‘Christmas time’ with Verona Synfonic Orchestra in Verona.
In those shows they have performed next to the most important International tango dancers
such as: Ezequiel Paludi, Gerladine Rojas, Enrique and Guillermo De Fazio (Los Hermanos Macana) Roberto Reis, Natalia Lavandeira, Gisela Avanzi.
On May 2013 they were the first Argentinean tango dancers to be invited as special guests to perform during the famous Blackpool Dance Festival ( the biggest dance festival since 1920).
They did performances in the most important milongas and biggest events all over the world from in Milan to New York, from Moscow to Buenos Aires, )from Hong Kong to Sydney.
In 2013 they were invited to perform at the international faire 'Foire aux vins' the biggest entertainment and gastronomic fair in Colmar France. They did perform during exclusive private events among which: gala night at the Chesa Veglia private club in Saint Moritz , Gala tango at 'Casta Diva Resort' in Como lake, Rotary Club gala in Bordighera, Rotary Club Brescia gala night.
In 2010 in Moscow they took part to the Tv program ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Russian edition.
And in 2009 they were invited to perform at the ‘World Dance Event 2009’ in Bern, Swiss.
As competitors, they earned many titles. They took the 1st place at the Iatlian and European Championship of IDO (International Dance Organization) and 3rd place in the World Championships organized by IDO (International Dance Organization) ,
They earned 3rd place in Tango Escenario and Tango Salon in the European tango Championship organized by 'Mundial de Tango de Buenos Aires’ in Turin.
In August 2010 they took part at the 'Mundial de Tango' in Buenos Aires, where they got into the final and entered into the best 20 couples between the 500 couples participating.
Since 2008 they have been 'Athletes Sponsored by PAOUL,' a firm leader in the production of dance shoes.
They are presently working as tango teachers in various schools and festivals, giving workshops and performances worldwide.
They have been selected as ‘tango couple’ for the 'Figure Movement and Color' photography show, put on by the Italian Photographic Cultural Center Club F64, in September 2009, and scheduled for January 2010 at Villa Sartirana Milan, and they were selected as couple representing Tango in Italy for the photographic shooting of ‘Olycom’ agency .
